Thunderstorm

Tuesday, 26 February 2008

This morning I woke up, annoyingly, about a half hour before my alarm clock went off. It had been a warm night (around 60°), and I was half aware that my curtains were blowing back and forth over me. Sometime recently it had gotten very gusty. It was still dark so I couldn’t see much, but I turned on the Weather Channel just as “Your Local on the 8’s” turned on — and there was a storm front line, at that time just at the extreme western side of Montgomery. With this warning, I was able to close all my windows and gather the stuff off my balcony, and when a half-hour later thunder crashed and lightning flashed, I was quite pleased that (for once) I was actually prepared for it. Actually, the tornado sirens went off in the midst of the front’s crossing my area — apparently there had been a sighting somewhere in the county. As for me, it just made me a little late for work (since I waited for the rain to cease before leaving home).

Yeah, I’m definitely seeing the tumultuous side of spring weather, lately. Gotta love it!

And because I’m feeling idea-depleted today, I’ll leave you with this: I love the song (recognize it from a cult children’s movie??? Anyone???) and the video is… well, adequate. But without it I can’t share the music!

The artist is FORD, the song “Pure Imagination” and you can find it here.
