Procrastination

Sunday, 3 February 2008

Ahhh… so here I sit, having gotten up very early on a Sunday morning to finish the briefing that I have to practice with others this afternoon… And what have I done so far?

  1. Read ~10 chapters of the alternate-future-history novel I brought with me
  2. Watched a couple episodes of “How Do I Look” on the Style Channel, which I don’t have at home
  3. Ate some toast and drank some coffee
  4. Scanned through a new application on Facebook and filled out a “Which Disney Princess Are You?” quiz (though annoyingly, unless you signed up for something called “Vegas Bets” it wouldn’t give you your bogus results!)
  5. Looked through my WordPress stats and…
  6. Started blogging!

Though technically the PowerPoint is still up on my computer screen, and I’ve got a list of the things that I need to do to complete it… all I have to do after that is come up with transitions and some memory-jogging notes, and run through it a couple times to make sure I can actually talk to it. So this is probably perfectly acceptable procrastination–but still I’d rather have it DONE already! (This is our last academic event at school, due Monday.)
