So, today I’m exhausted, cranky and sore. Perhaps a 2-hour workout yesterday wasn’t such a great idea after all! (I actually knew this at the time, but was so ecstatic at figuring out that I could pass the PT test that I ignored it.) However, I haven’t fallen into bed at 8 p.m. the way I did last night, so perhaps I’m recovering???
I’m trying to get all my loose ends at work sorted out, because I’ll be gone for a conference next week. Nothing too over-the-top this time; just Colorado. I’m looking forward to it because I should be able to experience genuinely chilly weather for the first time in… oh, a long time. Last winter in Baghdad there was about a week and a half of cold nights, but that was it!
We’re finally experiencing a slight cooldown here in the South (or so they say–I have yet to experience it, though). The high pressure that’s been parked over the east coast got bumped aside and the muggy air that reigned supreme for the last few weeks has been blown out by a swift-moving cold front that passed over us in Alabama yesterday. Not that you could tell–last night the low still didn’t dip below 65°. So, is it really the case that here in Alabama you could go trick-or-treating comfortably in shorts? Good heavens!
